How I made my hen party gift bags

As a little present for my friends and family on my hen weekend I put together little gift bags for them. I tried to make them reasonably cheap as I was making 11 of them and obviously had other wedding things to budget for.

I ordered kraft paper gift bags online from The Works as I wanted to keep in within the wedding theme. I also ordered some bright coloured card and a pack of tissue paper also from The Works.

I measured how big to cut each bit of card and Meg cut them down to size with her guillotine for me. I took them home and wrote every ones name on each bit of bright card and then backed it with a bit of white card.

I bought a multi pack of water bottles and paracetamol from Tesco, little bags, handmade with love stickers and string from amazon. I put two paracetamol in each bag and tied round the neck of the bottle using the string. I removed the label from the bottle and stuck a handmade with love sticker on.

I also purchased a hen party wish bracelet from a shop on Etsy and ordered myself a white Bride to be one as well. From Paperchase I got a pack a thank you cards and wrote every one their own separate card.

As I work at Lush I was able to buy a Mask of Magnaminty face mask and distribute it into sample pots so that everyone had enough for one face mask each! My supervisor very kindly let me do this after work and let me use the label machine as well to make them look good!

I ordered everybody pink sashes, there was Mother of the Bride, Maid of Honour, Bridesmaid, Bride to be and everyone else had Hen Party.

The gift bags also contained:

Cocktail umbrellas
Plastic shot glasses
Cocktail stirrer

I then filled each bag and covered with tissue paper so that no one would see what was inside! I think they went down a treat and everyone seemed to enjoying using the face masks after a night of drinking on the Sunday!

I had the best weekend and would love to do it all over again! I miss waking up and having all my loved ones around me and I miss them making me a cuppa in the mornings! Thanks again everyone – We’ll have to go back next year!
