How I clean my make up brushes

Washing your make up brushes is something that I don’t think we do enough! I don’t wear make up every day but I am still conscious about having clean brushes.

I use Daddy-O shampoo from Lush to clean them as I find the acidic lemons and limes help fight through the grease of make up. Baby shampoo works well too but I love the smell that Daddy-O leaves on my brushes. (I already use this shampoo to wash my hair so I don’t just buy this for washing my brushes!)

I also use this silicone ‘Brush Egg‘ from Amazon which is amazing, being silicone it also dries nicely and means no bacteria can live on it!

To dry my brushes I lie them flat, if you keep them upright or downwards the water can get into the glue and causes your brush to break! I just lie them flat on a towel or on the draining board dependant on where I clean them.

What do you use to clean your brushes?
