This book was a bit of a slow burner for me and I only really got hooked in the last 40%
I didn’t love it as much as The Ice Twins but my god it was a good read!
I felt genuinely scared at parts, especially reading it at night (one night my car alarm went off and I’ve never jumped so much 😂)
I fell in love with Jamie and I felt so many emotions reading this, I felt scared, sad, grief and confusion. I had no idea if it was reality or paranormal. The whole setting of the location was eerie with the big house and the Cornish mines.
I’m happy with any way an author ends a book, as long as it wraps it all up and answers any questions, I really didn’t know how it was going to end and was surprised at the ending but it did clear everything up and there wasn’t anything that was left unanswered.
This book hasn’t effected me like the Ice Twins did but it was still a great read and I would definitely recommend if you like thrillers!
